Torque wrenches should be utilized to for all cable assembly Mate/De-Mate processes. Incorrect coupling torque can produce inaccurate measurements and over-torque coupling can damage test devices, adapters, and test ports. MegaPhase® Torque Wrenches are factory pre-set to coupling torque value within a +/- 4% tolerance. Coupling torque values are determined by the type of connector being used. Features When specified torque value is achieved, a distinct "click" is felt and heard, followed by a sudden release into several degrees of free movement. However, continued turning will increase torque. Ideal for applications in which one torque value is used extensively. Compact design makes these tools invaluable in hard to reach locations. Tools automatically reset when torquing force is removed.
Accuracy +/- 4%. The tool's accuracy assumes that the axis of the tool's drive is directed straight through the center of the axis of the fastener. Angles, side loading and downwards force must be minimized. Also, working temperatures are assumed to be moderate (50 - 90° F). Torque motion must be smooth and consistent. |
