Corporate Background:
MegaPhase designs, manufactures and sells coaxial cable assemblies to OEMs building advanced microwave and optical electronic systems, such as test instrumentation, defense electronics, broadband networking, wireless communications & IP, satellites and semiconductor equipment. MegaPhase products include test cables, test adapters, flexible and semi-rigid cables used to connect system components inside a system, and coaxial connectors.
Technology, Products & Applications
- Test Cables: MegaPhase has developed a unique copper conductor technology called GrooveTube®. This proprietary technology provides a competitive edge over ordinary cable designs by addressing three important criteria for testing electronic components and systems: phase stability, insertion loss stability and repeatable measurements for the cable's useful life. This enables MegaPhase customers to calibrate most test sets with rate of recurrence far less than competitive products, achieve a lower cost per measurement and achieve more reliable test results. These test cables are sold to the OEM instrumentation manufacturers, and to users of test instrumentation across all microwave electronic industries.
- Inter-/Intra-System Cables: MegaPhase also manufactures high performance coaxial cables using GrooveTube® technology for high power and phase-defined systems, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment and electronic defense radar and electronic warfare. Additionally MegaPhase carries a full line of high performance expanded PTFE dielectric cables for applications requiring low insertion loss, such as space flight, communications systems, networking and switching.
- Test Adapters: MegaPhase has a high performance coaxial adapter product line sold as an accessory to its industry-leading test cables.
- Build-to-Print Connectors: High volume electronic connectors used on both cables and electronic component interfaces.
Financing
MegaPhase is a privately held company, backed by both the equity investment of its three shareholders, venture funding from Ben Franklin Technology Partners, commercial debt financing through UPS Capital, and the Monroe County, PA, Industrial Development Authority.
